announces the open source contribution of monitoring tools to Hyperledger Indy., a professional services firm specializing in decentralized identity, today announced the general availability of Monitoring tools for Hyperledger Indy, the latest addition to’s portfolio of decentralized identity technologies designed for the smooth implementation of verifiable credential exchange. Monitoring tools for Hyperledger Indy are designed to provide enterprise-grade monitoring capabilities to identify issues and automatically alert network administrators before problems become outages. They enable network monitoring to be proactive rather than reactive and represent an evolutionary leap forward in network resilience.

Modern monitoring tools for decentralized networks

Network stability is among today’s top priorities in the decentralized identity community. Currently, multiple management consoles, user interfaces, and logins drive manual oversight processes prone to human error. The risk is that nodes can fall out of consensus leading to network outages or failures. Network Monitoring Tools for Hyperledger Indy mitigate these risks through a single graphic interface to manage network operator nodes. The system automatically alerts network administrators to potential problems.

We recommend that all networks put tools like this in place to ensure consistent, proactive monitoring and troubleshooting—and that they have professional staff in place to respond to potential problems. This will drive confidence in decentralized identity networks as durable, interoperable platforms for verifiable credentials.

We’ve been involved in the Hyperledger Indy project since its inception. We saw the need for proactive network monitoring as a way to assure our customers that a decentralized network could be relied on. We also saw the need to make this tool open source, because we will all benefit from ensuring that decentralized identity networks everywhere are dependable—Heather Dahl, CEO.’s portfolio of decentralized identity services is committed to delivering premium services and enterprise-grade software to its customers and to the decentralized identity community. These include our Private Networks build service, our Indicio TestNet, and our expert-led, customizable training programs.  More than a dozen companies and organizations from diverse industries around the world rely on for help in building their decentralized identity businesses and applications.

But we also believe that the future of decentralized identity will come closer if we open source critical tools to make it easier for everyone to transition from legacy systems to robust and reliable decentralized networks. The Network Monitoring Tools for Hyperledger Indy is part of this eco-systematic approach, and reflects our belief in the value of a neutral, independent, open-source approach to advancing decentralized identity.
