For example, think of a chatbot interacting with a customer. With Verifiable Credentials, the customer and the chatbot can authenticate each other right away. The chatbot then asks for permission to use the customer’s data, keeping everything aligned with GDPR. Once approved, the chatbot can access that data automatically. The information is authenticated, and structured for immediate use.
Customers can even delegate authority so a chatbot or AI agent can pass verified data to another agent and the agents can authenticate each other before any data is ever shared!
Try do this with technology built for the Web2 era. Actually don’t, because it won’t be secure.
