Issue at onboarding
Issue each person an identity credential during onboarding, with a biometric captured and kept either on a wearable or on a mobile phone. Authorizations, training records, and background checks arrive as verifiable credentials that fill in enrollment automatically, so no one is retyping data from PDFs.
Set the rules
Each authorization, currency, and clearance (airside zone access, type authorizations, Inspection Authorization, safety and recurrent training) is issued as a separate credential, signed by the authority that grants it. A simple governance file sets which issuers you trust and which zones and tasks each role covers. Access turns on only when the right credentials are present and current.
Verify on the spot
At a gate, door, kiosk, or maintenance sign-off, the person shows their credential. Your verifier confirms it came from a trusted issuer and has not been altered, then runs a quick liveness check against the biometric on the credential. That last step stops borrowed badges, forgeries, and deepfakes.
Connect to your systems
The result drives the access-control system you already run, over standard protocols, so a credential check becomes a door or gate action with no new hardware. Where connectivity is patchy on the ramp, verification works offline over Bluetooth or NFC.
Update and revoke instantly
When an authorization lapses or is pulled, the credential updates or revokes in real time, so it is caught the moment someone badges in or signs off, rather than at the next audit. Because the credential lives on the person's device, you can reissue or revoke it remotely.
