Reusable KYC

Issue once,
use and reuse everywhere.

Reusable KYC turns one verified onboarding into a credential your customer carries and re-presents at every institution after. Verify the customer once, with authenticated biometrics and validated documents, using our partner IDV network or your own IDV provider. Issue a credential to their wallet, and every check after that is confirmed by cryptography in an instant, with no repeated uploads and no personal data pooled in a central database.

Works with your stack

Use our IDV network, or bring your own

The reusable part is the credential, and it doesn’t care who performs the identity check. Verify with our partner network or with the IDV provider you already run. Either way, the verified result becomes a reusable credential the customer holds.

Our partner network

Verified through our IDV partners

IDEMIA Public Security and leading biometric and document partners perform the root-of-trust proofing: liveness detection, document authentication, and biometric matching at NIST IAL2/IAL3, with deepfake and presentation-attack detection. You get bank-grade identity verification without procuring and integrating it separately.

Best for: teams without an existing IDV investment, or those expanding document and jurisdiction coverage.

Your own provider

Keep the IDV you already run

Already invested in an onboarding or IDV stack? The credential layer sits on top of it. Your provider performs the verification it always has, and Indicio packages that verified result into a signed, reusable credential. No rip-and-replace, and the work you already trust starts paying off at every future check.

Best for: institutions with an established IDV vendor that want reuse without changing providers.

Whichever path you choose, the output is the same: a signed credential the customer holds and re-presents, so one verification stands across every institution.

How it works

From a government ID to a reusable credential

One verified onboarding, then reuse at every institution after. The steps below run once; everything downstream is a check against the credential.

1

Start onboarding

The customer scans a QR code with their phone to begin identity verification, on their own device.

2

Verify identity

The IDV provider, ours or yours, authenticates a government document and matches it to a live biometric, with liveness and deepfake detection, at NIST IAL2/IAL3.

3

Issue the credential

Indicio packages the verified result into a signed, tamper-proof credential, issued to the wallet the customer controls.

4

Reuse anywhere

The customer re-presents it for login, payments, counterparty checks, and account recovery. Each check is confirmed by cryptography in an instant, with no re-upload.

Reusable KYC, end to end

Root-of-trust proofing (liveness detection, document authentication, biometric binding) converts into a portable credential the customer controls. Onboarding, issuance, and biometric-authenticated account access, in one walkthrough.

This walkthrough shows the partner-network path, verified by IDEMIA Public Security. The same flow applies when the verification runs through your own IDV provider.

Standards & assurance

High assurance, on open standards

On the partner path, identity is proofed to NIST IAL2/IAL3 and certified by Kantara. The credential itself is built on open standards and stays interoperable whichever IDV performs the check.

Identity assurance

NIST SP 800-63 · IAL2 / IAL3

Identity proofed to Identity Assurance Level 2 or 3, the root-of-trust standard KYC and CIP require, not self-asserted claims.

Identity assurance

eIDAS · substantial / high

Maps to the eIDAS assurance levels of substantial and high, the reference points EU financial institutions recognize.

Certification

Kantara Initiative

Partner-path proofing is certified by Kantara, the identity-assurance body IDEMIA, the U.S. Treasury, and the UK all reference.

Credential standard

W3C Verifiable Credentials

The credential follows the W3C model: tamper-evident, held by the customer, revocable, and verifiable by cryptography alone.

Credential standard

ISO 18013-7 · mdoc

Issues an ISO mdoc carrying authenticated documents and biometrics, in production for financial KYC today.

Credential standard

ICAO Digital Travel Credential

Built on the same specifications behind government digital travel credentials, deployed at national scale.

Part of Indicio's verifiable credentials for banking and finance. For how this maps to AMLR, eIDAS 2.0, and MiCA obligations, see the regulatory reference.
