James Schulte biography

James Schulte is a co-founder of Indicio and Vice President for Business Development, where he is responsible for Indicio’s rapid customer growth, repeat customer engagement, and continued customer success.

James is a sales and customer relations executive focused on verifiable data use in public sector, travel, healthcare and enterprise businesses. His expertise spans strategic and operational aspects of business development, partner management, and global privacy data regulation affairs. 

James has been involved in corporate strategic planning and deal structuring for a variety of customers.  He has extensive relationships within governments, organizations, and global enterprises, providing Indicio with an unmatched understanding of the decentralized identity market landscape, with the capacity to identify areas of opportunity and innovation.

In turn, he helps customers identify use cases, business value, and revenue opportunities, and provides close customer support throughout Indicio engagements. 

Throughout his tenure at Indico, James has focused on the value of Indicio software to its customers. He drove the evolution of Indicio’s consulting services into product-based revenue models with Indicio Proven. 

James has also worked to define the company’s business architecture, leading strategy and business negotiations on high-profile customer engagements. Through his extensive relationships with governments, organizations, and global enterprises, James provides Indicio with an unmatched understanding of the decentralized identity market landscape, identifying areas of opportunity and innovation. In turn, he helps customers identify use cases, business value, and revenue.

Prior to Indicio, he oversaw network Steward Operations at the Sovrin Foundation, where his team grew the program by 150% in two years. Before Sovrin, James held roles in air transport, manufacturing, and technology sectors.

James is fluent in German, graduating from Brigham Young University with a dual degree in Global Supply Chain Management and German Studies.
