The Frost Radar is a key industry benchmark ranking leading companies in digital identity “for growth, innovation, or both.” Indicio has consistently advanced decentralized identity and verifiable credential technology since its launch, pioneering multi-credential interoperability and authenticated biometrics in real-world border, financial service, and travel deployments, and developing verifiable credentials solutions for AI agent identity and delegated authority.
SEATTLE — JUNE 4, 2026 — Indicio has been named among the leading companies in digital identity for 2026 in the Frost & Sullivan Frost Radar™, an industry ranking that measures innovation and growth against key business and technology trends.

The recognition signals that a global transformation is now happening in enterprise identity. The EU Digital Identity Wallet mandate takes effect in December 2026, requiring member states and regulated industries to support verifiable credentials. The U.S. Treasury has endorsed verifiable credentials as a priority technology for financial KYC and Customer Identification Programs. Digital Travel Credentials following ICAO specifications are moving from pilots to borders and global infrastructure. And AI agents are entering regulated workflows faster than the identity infrastructure built to verify them.

Indicio isn’t just built for all four; it makes all four interoperable.

Indicio is driving digital identity in 2026

Indicio’s flagship platform, Indicio Proven®, enables customers to quickly deploy all the major digital credential formats and protocols in digital wallets and ensure they interoperate seamlessly. This means that a digital wallet automatically chooses the right credential for the right relying party, leaving the user only to provide their consent to share data.

With fully-integrated IDV and biometrics, a white-label digital wallet, mobile SDK, and flexible hosting options, Indicio Proven gives customers the ability to issue and verify portable digital identity credentials at scale — meeting the requirements of airlines, border authorities, global travel ecosystems, banks, payments, and financial services

Indicio’s focus on interoperability and user experience makes the fragmented identity ecosystems across travel, financial services, and enterprises work together, while delivering the privacy and security demanded by a world contending with the rapid scale of generative AI fraud.

“We saw this moment coming and built for it,”  said Heather Dahl, CEO and co-founder of Indicio. “We engineered our verifiable credential platform, Indicio Proven®, for interoperability, deployability, and scalability from day one — because the world we’re now entering demands all three. Digital travel credentials are going global. Every EU member state must offer a digital identity wallet by year’s end. The U.S. Treasury has endorsed verifiable credentials as a priority technology for financial services. And AI agents need cryptographically provable identities to operate in regulated environments. The Frost Radar confirms what we’ve been building toward: this is where enterprise identity is going”

From proof of value to production

That direction is live deployments. Indicio’s customers have moved beyond pilots into revenue-generating production at scale, with multi-year engagements across regulated industries. The platform is engineered to evolve incrementally as regulations and technical specifications change; it’s an anti-obsolescence approach that protects the investment our customers have already made. And Indicio is built to defend against the rapidly expanding fraud surface of the AI era: authenticated biometrics bound to each credential — we call this “Bring Your Own Biometrics” — shut down synthetic identity and deepfake impersonation, while privacy-by-design and selective disclosure ensure compliance with the world’s strictest data-protection regimes.

ProvenAI: verifiable identity for AI agents in regulated workflows

Digital identity isn’t just for people or organizations. The emergence of non-human identity — the AI agent that books a flight on behalf of an employee, or transfers funds or pulls customer records to draft a sales proposal — will change digital life and business. Each of these agents will act under someone’s authority — but how will the airline, the bank, or the CRM actually verify that? How will customers know who their agent really is — before allowing access to personal data? How will agents acquire and prove consent to use this data? These are critical problems in terms of compliance and security and hard-stop blockers for employing agents in regulated workflows.

Indicio launched ProvenAI to close that gap. ProvenAI is a verifiable credential identity layer for AI agents that gives every agent a cryptographically provable identity, the ability to verify the humans and other agents it interacts with, and a mechanism to carry the consent and delegated authority that regulated environments demand. In practice, this means enterprises can deploy AI agents in workflows where compliance, legal, and security teams would otherwise block them, because every action an agent takes is now tied to a verified identity and a documented chain of authority.

“The Frost Radar is a bellwether. Anyone can sketch a roadmap or list features,” said Ken Ebert, CTO and co-founder. “The hard part is running all of them in production at once — every major credential format, biometric authentication and binding, document validation, and human and non-human identity — working in concert and in regulated environments under real performance pressure. We’ve already solved those problems at country-level scale. That means our customers don’t find out the hard way what breaks between a demo and a deployment serving millions. They start from proven, which is the difference between shipping on deadline and stalling out in a pilot.”
