It’s 6 a.m. at the gate. A morning in the life
Take Maria, a fire-safety contractor who works across three of your facilities. On her first morning she completes onboarding once. Her background check and safety certification land in her wallet as signed credentials, and her employee credential is issued with a quick photo captured on her own phone.
At the gate, Maria holds up her phone. The reader confirms her credential came from a trusted issuer, that nothing has been changed, and that the face at the gate is really hers, all in a couple of seconds. The door opens. When her dangerous-goods certification expires six weeks later, her access to the areas that require it switches off the moment she next badges in. No audit needed to catch it.
